A lot of these are ingredients found in premium commercial shrimp minerals and food, brief explanation of each below:
Food / Food Additives:
Astaxanthin - red pigment color enhancer.
Bee Pollen - excellent baby shrimp food, small grain particles reach every crevice in the tank, when shrimplets are born they don't move much.
Leaves - mulberry, Indian almond, grape, oak are safe, harbor natural algae and microorganisms to supplement shrimp diet, releases tannins and may buffer down pH.
Vegetables - spinach, swiss chard, eggplant, zucchini, cucumber, broccoli, carrots. Blanch or freeze first to break down cell walls.
Calcium Montmorilmonite - may buffer up pH, effectively absorb of heavy metals.
Chitosan - simulates a shrimp molt, signals other shrimp that it's safe to molt, and breeding follows molting.
Humic Acid - buffers down pH, stimulates plant growth, positive effects on fauna including: increasing cell wall permeability for easier transfer of minerals, captures and removes toxic metals, reduces stress.
