Are there additives people use to get their crystal red and crystal black shrimps white more opaque? I have cracks in most of mine that look yellow-ish. I'm keeping them in 6.8 ph, 6 GH, no ammonia or nitrites.

I'd say it's 99% genetics. Some specialty foods like Mosura and Borneo Wild do have "color additives," but the only one I know of that works is Astaxanthin for red pigmentation.

For white.. I don't know, some people mentioned calcium montmorillonite works, I haven't really noticed. It's used for koi ponds & coloration.
