A lot of this is unknown / debated as to origin and derivation of individual C. Cantonensis strains, but this is what I understand as the general consensus, please correct if wrong or add if more:

0. So, first there were Orange Bees, wild caught (before time in immemorial), these wild form Orange Bees split in a stream somewhere and led to Crystals and Tigers.

1. The wild Crystal forms were apparently low grade Crystal Black Shrimp in waters in southern Asia (i.e. streams by Hong Kong, not to be confused with Paracaridina "Princess Bee" found in Vietnam), Crystal Red Shrimp was a mutant and selectively bred by Hisayasu Suzuki in 1996 (who also obtained a Japanese patent on them). Both CBS and CRS found way into the hobby into the late 90's.

2. These CRS/CBS were selectively bred in Taiwan to achieve Wine Red -> Ruby Red and Panda -> Black King Kong (BKK). All white variants of CRS/CBS were achieved and are labeled Snow White or Golden Bees, mutations of these have led to Blue Bolts.

A. Wild caught tigers include: Tigers, Super Tigers, Red Tigers (Tangerine Tigers are C. serrata not C. cantonesis/bee)

B. Mutations and selective breeding: Tiger Shrimp -> Blue Tiger Orange Eye -> Black Tiger Orange Eye
